This is our heavy duty and adjustable transmission cross member for the E46 chassis using a ZF or Getrag manual transmission. This custom cross member follows the same dimensions as the factory one so your exhaust clearance will remain the same as factory.

It can be used to directly replace the stock factory transmission bracket as a much heavier duty alternative or be used to move the transmission backwards towards the rear axle 2 inches. This is especially useful when doing an LS swap and wanting to move the engine back to the optimum location. When swapping a V8 in while maintaining the factory Getrag or ZF transmission it pushes the motor forward 1.25 inches shifting the weight over the front axle. This cross member will allow you to move your engine and transmission back to push the weight towards the center of the car where it belongs.
